After being away from the Portsmouth outreach for a couple of weeks due to bad weather and sickness, it was good to be back in the heart of the city proclaiming the good news.

How does one begin to explain all that the Lord did in Reading today? As I look back on an afternoon of outreach, I am amazed at how kind God is towards sinful humanity.

Many are shocked to realise that the UK is no longer a stronghold of Christianity, instead, the people have cast off the true God, and now pursue lies. Missions are needed in this country – would you consider how you can serve or support the work here?

As he held the Gospel of John he said, “I’ve never heard anything about Jesus.” This man has lived in the UK for several years, yet sadly, no one had ever bothered to tell him about the Saviour.

Before I could get into the message, a group of Muslim young men stopped to listen. They were very polite and friendly. They asked questions and began to engage with what I was saying.

The Lord was really kind to us today, as there was a good openness to the gospel, and people seemed willing to take Scripture.

From our arrival, until the moment we left, we had good news conversations. People in Portsmouth seemed to be very open to receiving literature and hearing the gospel.

It is amazing the difference a week can make. Last week, things were challenging in the open air, but today there was freedom and openness that left us feeling refreshed at the end of the outreach. I

“What you would say if someone died, was buried, then came back to life, and He told us all about what happens next. Would you believe Him?”

Today, I shared the good news in England's smallest city. It was a cold day, but the gospel went forth (even though my board was blown over!)
