Newquay Evangelism: We Ran Out of Material!
The day started off with me wondering how many workers we’d have with us on the street. However, by the time the outreach began, we had twelve people from our church ready to share the gospel.
The town centre wasn’t too busy, but still, we had many opportunities to share the good news. Throughout the outreach, team members were able to chat with people, and also many tracts were handed out. As with last week, the free literature table proved to be the centre point of our witness. People would wander over to the table for a free candy cane, a children’s gospel book and a Christmas Gospel.
Over the course of the outreach, we distributed 38 kids books (we ran out!) and over 78 copies of the Gospel. Thankfully, we received an extra 100 Gospels this morning, otherwise, we would have run out of them also.
Many people indicated they’d be interested in visiting the chapel, and some said they’d try to attend the carols service on Sunday night. Please pray that we will see people we met today in attendance.
Of particular encouragement to me was having my family with me for the outreach. Louise and Henry worked the table; while Thomas and Elizabeth handed out tracts.
Praise God for a wonderful afternoon of evangelism. Thank you to all those who joined the outreach, and also to those who prayed.
